Thea Camara - Bio
Thea Camara discovered her passion for acting at an early age. She began to pursue
her longtime dream with vigor in 2007.
Since that time, Thea has had the opportunity to perform in various Films, Stage plays,
Commercials and Print Ads. Thea has trained with some to the most accredited acting
coaches in the industry. She has studied with Susan Batson at the Susan Batson
Studio NYC, Craig J. Engel of Bolingbrook, IL, Michael McCracken of Vagabond Chicago,
Jamal McNeil of L.A., Act 1 studio Chicago and Tasha Smith of TSAW LA.
Thea Camara attended Concordia University where she earned her degree in the Arts.
Thea Camara has appeared in various well-known projects including Dick Wolf’s
Chicago Med, Spike Lee’s Chi-raq, Christopher Nolen’s last 4 indie films, Walk Away
From Love, For The Love Of Christmas, 72 Hours and I Left My Girlfriend For Regina
Jones. She has also made an appearance on The Steve Harvey Show as one of Tyler
Perry’s Biggest Fan.
Thea Camara has also been featured in 3 films, written and directed by Kimberly
Conner. In which one of them called “Before I Do” was selected in the 2017 Cannes
Pan African Film Festival in France.
Because of Thea has an enormous love for the craft of acting; she knows how
important it is to keep the acting tools sharpened. She continues to stretch her
instrument by attending classes for scene study, monologues etc.
Thea Camara has become one the most respected, well Sought-after actress in
Chicago.
Thea Camara is a consummate professional and highly regarded by those that have
worked with her.
She believes that “If you find your passion...You’ll never work a day in your life”.
